The official amenities map shows what already exists around the Bridgelands site: schools, parks, grocery, golf and recreation. Here's what's actually within reach before a single home is built.
One of the risks with any greenfield community is buying into an area where the amenities are all still on paper. The Bridgelands amenities map makes the case that this isn't that kind of site — the community sits at the northern edge of a fully built-out part of Vaughan, so most of what a household needs already exists a short drive south.
Here's how the map breaks down, category by category.
Schools already operating nearby
The map marks a dense cluster of York Region public, Catholic and private schools within a short drive of the site, including Teston Village Public School, Discover Public School, Mackenzie Glen Public School, Maple High School, Tommy Douglas Secondary School, Blessed Trinity Catholic Elementary and Father Bressani Catholic High School, alongside Montessori options.
The Block 41 Secondary Plan also reserves land for new schools inside the community itself, so early buyers should expect the catchment picture to keep improving as the neighbourhood is built out. Confirm current boundaries with the York Region District School Board and the York Catholic District School Board before firming up a purchase — catchments change with new construction.
Parks, trails and conservation land
Green space is the strongest feature on the map. To the west sits the Kortright Centre for Conservation, Boyd Conservation Park and the William Granger Greenway Humber Trail; to the east, North Maple Regional Park and Mackenzie Glen District Park. Recreation and community facilities
The map flags Trio Sportsplex, Maple Community Centre, Vaughan Soccer Club fields, North Maple Park soccer fields, Sports Village Baseball Diamond, Woodbridge Sports Dome and Vaughan Grove Sports Park — plus Canada's Wonderland for the summer months.
Inside Bridgelands, the approved plan adds a community centre, library, retail and a trail network to that list over time.
Reading the map like a buyer
The practical takeaway is that Bridgelands buyers get a new-build home in a new community without the usual first-phase amenity gap. Schools, groceries, healthcare, parks and recreation are all established south and east of the site today; the community's own amenities arrive on top of that.
