Where Bridgelands actually is

Bridgelands is commonly marketed at Weston Road and Teston Road in Woodbridge. That intersection is the practical southeast access point to the community — the full land area extends north and west from there.

The complete boundary is four Regional roads: Kirby Road to the north, Weston Road to the east, Teston Road to the south and Pine Valley Drive to the west. Together they enclose roughly 428 hectares, identified by the City of Vaughan as Block 41.

Why this corner of Vaughan

This is one of Vaughan's last major greenfield New Community Areas. Everything around it is already built out or protected Greenbelt, which is precisely what makes the location unusual: new ground-oriented supply, at scale, inside an established part of the 905 rather than an hour beyond it.

Getting around from Weston & Teston

The road and transit position is the strongest practical argument for the site:

  • Highway 400 — direct access via Teston Road, recently widened to four lanes
  • Highway 407 ETR — a short run south for east-west travel across the GTA
  • Rutherford GO Station — Barrie Line service, roughly 10 minutes south
  • Vaughan Metropolitan Centre — TTC Line 1 terminus, about 12 minutes south, then roughly 45 minutes to Union Station with no transfer

What's already nearby

Residents are not waiting on the community core for day-to-day life. Established Kleinburg, Woodbridge and Maple neighbourhoods sit immediately around the site, with Vaughan Mills and Canada's Wonderland a short drive away, plus the shops, restaurants and trails those areas already support. Adjacent Greenbelt lands provide permanent open space on the community's edge.

What gets built here

The approved Secondary Plan permits a complete community rather than housing alone: freehold townhomes, semis and detached homes in the low-rise areas, mid-rise residential and mixed-use in the core, plus schools, parks, trails, a community centre, a library and neighbourhood retail.
